9am GARDEN WORKSHOP: “Building Wicking Beds” with Joe Schram from JoLi Farms. Wicking beds are self-watering beds that will save you time and water. This will be a hands-on workshop where you’ll get to experience building a wicking bed from the ground up through the course of the morning. $30 per person or $50 for two people. . 10:30am GARDEN CLASS: “Organic Pest Control” with Michelle. Learn how to control pests in your garden without the use of harsh chemicals.

10am to 2pm BOOK SIGNING: Author Koby Todd will be signing her book “Rylie's Gift”,  a children’s book inspired by her daughter.

Tuesday May 19th

Saturday, April 4th

10:30am GARDEN CLASS: “April in the Garden” Join us for our monthly series where we go over the garden to-do list. Learn what to plant, what to harvest and other timely garden tasks. This class is perfect for the beginning gardener and those new to growing in Central Texas.

11am – 2pm FAMILY EVENT: Easter Eggs in the Garden. Find an egg hidden in the Monument Gardens and bring it into the market for a springtime treat! Limit 2 per child while supplies last.

Saturday, April 11th

10:30am Guest Speaker GARDEN CLASS: “Go Native!” with Kathy Henderson from the Native Plant Society of Texas.   Kathy’s presentation will demonstrate several ways to re-purpose your yard for the benefit of our birds, butterflies and other wildlife by using native plants. Growing native plants also helps to conserve our precious water. She will answer questions like: What is a native plant in the first place? What are my options for changing from lawn grass to native plants? Can a yard be pretty and colorful with only native plants?   .

12:00pm to 3:00pm Happy’s Healing Hands CHAIR MASSAGES with Licensed Massage Therapist Happy Spring Day. $15 for 15 minutes. Pamper yourself!

1:00pm to 3:00pm BOOK SIGNING: Local Authors Betty Byron and Cassius Mullen will be signing copies of their books “The Iris Covenant” and “Within the Walls of Santos Tomas.” Join us and get your very own signed copy!

2:00pm COOKING CLASS: “Summertime Pies” with Rusty. Use the seasonal abundance of local fruits and berries to create outstanding desserts! This will be a hands-on class, so come ready to bake. $25 per person includes a dessert to take home to impress your friends and family.
