Williamson County Master Gardeners Spring Fair this Saturday

In lieu of Monument Garden Class this Saturday I encourage you to go to the Williamson County Master Gardeners Spring Fair this Saturday from 9am to 2pm at the AgriLIFE Extension Office, 3151 S.E. Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX. It seemed best to not have class here this weekend so that we can all attend this great free event.

From their website:
"This fun event will have kids activities through Junior Master Gardener, a Country Store with supplies for your gardening needs, gardening books and more, Beautiful Plants and Rain Barrels for Sale, and Informational booths to answer your questions about Master Gardeners, Oak Wilt, Rainwater Harvesting, and Firewise preparedness. The Demonstration gardens will be open with tours of the vegetable, rose and herb gardens. There will be a Composting demonstration, pruning herbs, and more. Classes will start each hour with top notch speakers. 4-H will provide a concession stand with delicious food."

Speakers for the day include:
9:00 am – Jeff Pavlat from Oracle Gorge will speak on Cactus & Succulents
10:00 am – Emsud Horozovic from the City of Round Rock, Urban Forester, will speak on Tree Care
11:00 am – Wayne Rhoden, Williamson County Master Gardener, will speak on Native Plants
Noon – Jessica Woods, Williamson County Master Gardener, will speak on Water Conservation
1:00 pm – Matt Welch from Plantsmith Gardens, will speak on Rain Gardens

See you there!
